Rechargeable hearing aid batteries are now available from several manufacturers and are very effective.

The announcement comes as more hearing aid users are beginning to use rechargeable hearing aids rather than styles that require the batteries to be changed.

Over the past few months, several of the top hearing aid manufacturers have released rechargeable hearing aid models that are smaller, charge quicker and last longer than ever before.

Hearing & Aging With Vitality

Last month, Cynthia Taylor-Peffers, ACA, BC-HIS spoke about hearing care and tinnitus at the “Aging With Vitality” seminar at the Kroc Center Suisun City.

The 4-day series, put on by the Senior Coalition of Solano County, featured engaging, highly-skilled local physicians and other medical specialists that discussed ways to manage health, fielded questions and included interactive activities that complemented the discussion.

Better Hearing Month Spotlights Hearing Loss

Hearing loss is a common health problem amongst Americans. In fact, 48 million people experience some level of hearing loss in the U.S. alone. That is why the American Speech-Language Hearing Association has dedicated the month of May as Better Hearing and Speech Month, in order to raise awareness of hearing loss.

Untreated hearing loss may seem like an inconvenience, but it has been linked to a number of other health problems including depression, dementia, and Alzheimer’s disease. Creekside Attends Hearing Health Conference

This past February, the team from Creekside Hearing Aid Service traveled from coast to coast to attend the 2017 AHAA Convention in Orlando, Florida.

The conference is held every year to give hearing care providers a better understanding of the issues in the industry and to give recommendations on how to better serve patients.

Vision 2020 was the overall theme for the conference, and many of the seminars and workshops focused on planning ahead for the future.  With technology and trends rapidly changing and developing, Creekside understands how important it is to stay ahead of the curve.
